Special Council Candidate – Psyrax

Hey everyone, I’m putting my name forward for the March 2026 Horizen Special Council elections.

Introduction

I’m Psyrax, based in Australia, and my connection to this ecosystem goes back to the very beginning — since the days of ZenCash. Few people in this community can say they’ve witnessed and contributed to every major chapter of this project’s evolution, from the early ZenCash days through the Horizen rebrand, the sidechain era, the Base migration, and now the exciting direction toward a privacy execution layer. That history isn’t just sentimental — it means I understand why decisions were made, not just what they are, and that context matters enormously in a governance role.

My Experience in Web3 and with Horizen

As a current Special Council member, I’ve been actively involved in governance decisions and have worked to represent the community’s interests throughout my term. Prior to and alongside that role, I’ve contributed to the Horizen ecosystem through technical community support and moderation across Discord, Telegram, and other communication channels. Helping community members navigate technical questions, maintaining healthy and safe spaces, and acting as a reliable point of contact have been consistent parts of how I’ve shown up for this project over the years.

My background spans the full arc of what Horizen has been: I’ve been here through the forks, the debates, the growth, and the pivots. That longevity gives me a grounded perspective that I think is genuinely valuable on a governance body, especially during a period of strategic transition.

What I Would Bring to the Special Council

Continuity and institutional knowledge are real assets in governance. Re-electing members who have already demonstrated commitment and reliability reduces the learning curve and keeps momentum going on in-progress work.
Beyond continuity, I bring:
Technical depth — I can engage meaningfully with protocol-level proposals and help the council evaluate technical implications, not just surface-level community sentiment.
Community-first instincts — Years of moderation and support work have made me attuned to how governance decisions land with real users and token holders, not just insiders.
Long-term alignment — I’ve been here since ZenCash. I’m not here for a cycle. I’m invested in Horizen’s success over the long haul, and that shows in how I approach every decision.

My goal as a re-elected council member would be to continue bridging the technical and community sides of the ecosystem, ensuring governance remains credible, accessible, and genuinely representative of ZEN holders.

I’m happy to answer any questions the community has. Let’s keep building something worth building.
