Announcing candidature for the Horizen Special Council

Hi All,

I am Johncarlo, JC to my friends, but most of you know me as Psyrax on Discord. This post is to announce my candidature for the Horizen DAO Special Council.

A little bit about myself, my first exposure to crypto was with Litecoin (2013) and Ethereum (2016) but it wasn’t until Zcash and zClassic came into existence where I started to get excited and wanted to have greater participation in a crypto project.

I have been involved with the Horizen project since it’s inception, from the humble beginnings when the team decided to fork away from zClassic to where it has been built to today. I kinda inserted myself into the project where I primarily provided technical support advice and was later asked to provide moderation services the various communication channels (Discord, slack(no longer used), and telegram to name a few.

I have endured and persisted with the Horizen project through it’s ups and downs, as I truly believe that Horizen has what it takes to become one of the large players in the blockchain sphere.

I believe that my technical experience and my passion for Horizen would be a great asset to the Council where I will be able to help drive the project to greater heights and greater success.

While many of the core team members are already familiar with your contributions, I’m sure the broader community would appreciate hearing more about your background and any experiences both in crypto and beyond that shape your perspective. Could you also tell us what specifically drew you to ZEN, how you think Horizen can continue to improve, and what your priorities would be if you’re elected to the Special Council?
