Special council candidate: Mahnoor

Greetings everyone! :waving_hand:

I’m happy to announce that I’m running for a seat on the Horizen Special Council.

My journey in crypto and blockchain started in 2018, and I joined the Horizen community in 2021. Since then, I’ve had the opportunity to grow alongside this community and witness Horizen evolve through different stages.

From the beginning, one of my main goals has been to help people understand Horizen and feel connected to the ecosystem.

Over the years, I’ve helped onboard and educate new members about Horizen, its vision, and products such as Zendoo, NFTs, Horizen EON, and more.

I was also actively involved in the Horizen Ambassador Program, and later had the opportunity to serve as Head of Ambassadors before the program was discontinued.

For the past three years, I’ve been helping moderate the Horizen community, while also contributing as a moderator in the zkVerify community.

Another important part of my journey has been the Daily Tasks initiative, where I had the opportunity to coordinate a group of community members, work closely with the community and team, and turn community ideas into engaging activities.

What I Bring to the Council

If elected, I want to bring the experience I’ve gained from being actively involved in the community for years.

My main areas of focus would be:

:green_circle: Community & Governance
Keeping communication open between the Council and the community and making sure community voices are heard.

:green_circle: Education & Adoption
Helping both new and existing members better understand Horizen, its technology, products, and ongoing initiatives.

:green_circle: Community Builders & Initiatives
Supporting community members who have ideas and helping turn those ideas into meaningful initiatives that can contribute to the ecosystem.

I believe a strong community isn’t built only through ideas — it’s built when people come together and turn those ideas into action.

Why Support Me?

I’m not running for the Council simply to have a seat.

I’m running because I’ve been part of this community for years, I care about its future, and I want to contribute on a larger scale.

If given the opportunity, I’ll do my best to represent the community, keep the dialogue open, support new ideas, and help make sure the community remains an important part of Horizen’s journey.

Thank you to everyone who has supported me throughout the years. Your trust means a lot to me.

Let’s keep building together. :green_circle:
