Hello Horizen community,
This is my second attempt at running for the Horizen DAO Special Council. I’ll admit I was left a bit salty after falling short of votes the first time, but here we go again
So I’ve been part of this community since 2017 and remain deeply committed and involved in Horizen progress and evolution. Over the years, I’ve contributed by:
-
Testing new features, including smart contracts and NFTs
-
Creating tutorials to help users navigate smart contracts
-
Editing and improving Horizen Academy content
-
Proposing ideas on Discord, many of which were implemented
-
Serving as a Horizen Ambassador and actively participating in community discussions
At one point, I resigned from the Ambassador program over proposed changes I believed were not in the best interest of ZEN holders—those changes were later rejected, confirming the importance of voicing my opinion and putting the community first. I remain dedicated to ensuring decisions reflect the priorities of Horizen holders.
My name is Vladan Nikolic. My background includes a Master’s in Software Engineering, experience in IT development, administration, and online business. I entered crypto in 2017, first mining Zcash before moving entirely into ZEN, where I have stayed active as a miner (until ASICS came along), and then a trader, and community contributor. From memes to tutorials and calculators, I’ve tried to keep our community both informed and engaged.
In the future, I want to see:
-
More real-world use cases built on Horizen
-
Broader adoption of NFTs made on Horizen
-
Economies that depend on using Horizen as part of their core infrastructure
If elected, my top priority will be increasing the value and utility of ZEN by focusing on real use cases and making sure community voices guide every major decision.
Thank you for considering my application.
