Hello everyone,
My name is Jóhan, and I’ve been following Horizen since the very beginning back when it forked from Zclassic. Over the years I’ve watched the project grow, adapt, and continue to carve out its own unique path. That adaptability is exactly why I believe in ZEN and its long-term potential compared to so many other projects that come and go.
A little about me: I’ve spent the last several years deeply involved in the cryptocurrency space, particularly in trading, strategy design, and automation. My focus has been on building systematic approaches that balance risk and growth, which has given me a strong appreciation for both technical and economic feasibility skills I believe are useful when reviewing proposals (ZENIPs) and weighing the future direction of Horizen.
What draws me to this role is simple: I want to contribute to ensuring Horizen continues to grow in a way that is both sustainable and aligned with community needs. While I don’t claim to have all the answers, I believe in keeping an open channel with the community, listening first, and working together toward the best outcome for the project.
My priorities as a council member would be:

Staying in touch with community voices and making sure those perspectives are heard at the council level.

Supporting Horizen’s adaptability and innovation while keeping proposals financially and technically sound.

Helping strengthen the DAO’s foundations so it continues to be resilient in the long term.
At the heart of it, my candidacy comes down to this: I care about Horizen’s success, and I want to do my part to help guide it.
