I have been following Horizen since the early days of ZenCash and have witnessed every stage of its evolution. Today, with the upcoming upgrade and the expansion of EON and zkVerify, the project has a unique opportunity to consolidate itself. Strong governance, effective communication, and continuous technical support are essential to ensuring a solid and sustainable future.
Who I Am
My name is Domenico, and I am from Italy. I have been involved in the crypto space since 2017, just before the bull run, with a particular focus on the technical and development aspects, thanks to my varied background. I discovered Horizen in early 2018, back when it was ZenCash, through friends who introduced me to the securenodes ecosystem.
Over the years, I have solved hundreds of technical issues for users on Discord and Telegram, providing support for nodes, wallets, and various software-related aspects. I have actively contributed to the development of the community, and for a long time, I shared the most active community member with Psyrax (pedia 
).
Why I Am Running
I believe that my technical expertise and deep understanding of the Horizen/EON ecosystem can add value to the DAO Special Council. We are at a crucial moment where community support and clear communication will be fundamental to the success of the upgrade and the project’s expansion. My goal is to bridge the gap between technology, governance, and users, ensuring that the community remains an integral part of Horizen’s evolution.
My Vision for Horizen’s Future
The community should play a more active and strategic role in DAO decisions, not just as an observer but as a key contributor to Horizen’s development. I want to promote direct engagement through structured feedback initiatives and regular town hall meetings. Additionally, a strong ecosystem is not just one that attracts capital, but also one that attracts developers and fosters innovation.
Treasury Management
DAO funds must be strategically allocated, with a focus on marketing, but not in the traditional sense. The most effective marketing in the crypto world is the kind that engages developers and fosters innovation.
Collaborations with other blockchain projects are crucial to increasing Horizen’s visibility and adoption. It is not just about exposure but about creating real technical integrations: expanding EON’s DeFi ecosystem by integrating lending platforms, stablecoin solutions, and cross-chain interoperability tools to attract liquidity and developers. This approach will make Horizen an open and competitive ecosystem, attracting high-level users and developers.
Governance and Communication
Communication is key to Horizen/EON’s expansion and appeal. It is not enough to simply make DAO decision-making processes more transparent; we must also open discussion channels with the community across different platforms. The DAO should be a truly inclusive and participatory environment.
To achieve this, I propose bringing back regular public reports and AMA sessions (as we used to have) to keep the community informed and engaged.
Innovation and Technology
The integration of zkVerify and EON was the boost Horizen needed to carve out its space in the crypto world. Now, however, we must capitalize on this innovation and turn it into a tangible competitive advantage.
My Commitment to the Community
Beyond the technical support I have always provided, I have held active roles as an Ambassador, moderator, and technical staff member. I have always believed in the power of an active community, not just as users but as an essential part of the ecosystem’s growth.
Key Challenges to Address
One of the main challenges I see today is the gap between users and the ecosystem. Many users do not fully utilize Horizen/EON’s features simply because clear and direct communication is lacking. To bridge this gap, we need initiatives that educate and make the various functionalities more accessible, while also directly involving developers.

Horizen has always been my home. I have actively participated in and continue to engage in all community activities, involving even less active users. I firmly believe that with the right approach, we can further grow Horizen and establish it as a leading project in the crypto ecosystem.
