HL is currently evaluating migration paths for EON. HL’s proposal will provide a path for EON to be a part of the New Horizen ecosystem
Thank you for your answer. So we can continue building bricks for EON ?
I think this point should be made crystal clear in the proposal. At first, I thought HL was dropping EON.
HL does not intend to drop EON.

I like the idea but the name is terrible. What’s wrong with Horizen 2.0? At least we can go from 2.0 to 3.0 in the future. What’s after “New Horizen” ? Will it be called “Brand New Horizen” ? The name is just so lazy
I wouldn’t consider the name final. if anyone has recommendations, please provide.
On the other hand, better settle a “New Horizen” than build an Horizen 2.0 which will be followed by an Horizen 3.0 which will be deprecated in favor of Horizen 4.0 which will be put aside to welcome Horizen 5.0, … ^^
Hi @xgarreau , The name is just a placeholder when we’re referring to the new tech, and at this stage, it’s important to make that differentiation. Eventually, when everything is deployed, Horizen will be just Horizen.
Maybe after that it would be the Event Horizen?
Hi john.
I thought zk roll-up compress information externally to prevent big block size.
Isn’t the modular method (4 key division of labor) a kind of zk roll-up?
Cool
Unattainable price surge makes it a cosmic Event horizen(zon)
or
drop price make it a horror movie masterpiece Event Horizon(zen)
Hi ! Not even a little HorizenX ? (kidding)
I think that is what SatoshiVM is all about ? ZKR L2 on Bitcoin ?
if there was to be a L2 on Bitcoin, and it produced a zk-proof that proves the validity of its transactions, then new horizen could verfiy the proof.
Did you all listen to the New Horizen AMA? https://twitter.com/i/spaces/1MnGnMjlnEXKO
AMA 36:34
And so I’m not really sure that we necessarily need to compare ourselves to those block chains because we are kind of again just trying to address a completely different space that they are not tackling.
Celesty is focused on data availability which was a piece of settlement.
And so we are similarly trying to break off a piece of what was known as settlement in that modular blockchain system which is proof verification and tackle that.
And we hope to do it really, really well because
I think this is the core of New Horizen.
I wonder what kind of problems this technology can solve if it is applied.
I understood that it basically helps with scalability.
I wonder what specific results Horizen will bring, such as speed improvement and security improvement.
I think this is the answer to why you should use Horizen.
I don’t know much about technology.
For example, when we have a mobile phone update, we don’t know much about the technology. However, we can see that there is an improvement in speed as a result of the update. I hope for an easy explanation like this.
Is Horizen’s goal fast verification, high reliability? Can companies come to the web3 through this?
If so, it could potentially become a customer of New Horizen
