**Dear Horizen Community,** I am making this thread for the sake of holding ZenDEX team (EZ Labs) accountable for their lateness and misleading the entire Horizen community. Some important timelines: ZenDEX won a thrive grant in 9/23/2025 as announced in [Discord](https://discord.com/channels/334085157441110017/334085157441110017/1420156013646057532) . This post is being written on 10/18/2026, more than 1 year after grant was announced publicly on discord. Horizen community members point out that the ZENDEX name is an already existing and abandoned project, and EZLABS team acknowledges this, **they proceed to use the name anyway [Discord](https://discord.com/channels/334085157441110017/334085157441110017/1421198556508717167)**. [Discord](https://discord.com/channels/334085157441110017/334085157441110017/1421175117257637978) 1 month after announcement, Horizen members start questioning the legitemacy of EZLABS and Discord admin **Rocket** says that EZLABS team has won multiple hackathons and a major ETH hackathon in the past (but does not give any proof) [Discord](https://discord.com/channels/334085157441110017/334085157441110017/1430604194146029619) 2 months after announcement, Horizen members start questioning the timeline of ZENDEX and its updates, specifically tagging **Rocket** , [Discord](https://discord.com/channels/334085157441110017/334085157441110017/1443245321713881260) He does not answer on this instance. 4 months after announcement, on 1/9/2026, Bendzy asks **Rocket** about ZenDex updates. Rocket replies [Discord](https://discord.com/channels/334085157441110017/334085157441110017/1459198768347091168) “_I expect it soon. I know the date shifted slightly, and I’ll speak with the BD team to get a more definitive answer._” **Rocket** proceeds to say on 1/12/2026 “_Zendex Early Feb that´s what I got from their team”_ Furthermore, a Horizen community members points out wether we can trust the ZenDex team and rocket replies “_I believe so”_ [Discord](https://discord.com/channels/334085157441110017/334085157441110017/1460401108634832977) (how are we unsure that we can trust our grant winners??? This is insane even by crypto standards.) At this point, the ZENDEX team is still not even in the Horizen discord by the way. **Rob Viglione (finpunk)** personally asks “_i’m super curious, as well. \<@800068416765558794\> do we have anyone from the Zendex team hanging around in here?_”in discord whether anyone from ZENDEX team is here [Discord](https://discord.com/channels/334085157441110017/334085157441110017/1472208812076306452) on 2/14/2026 by the way. It was supposed to launch on February, and mid February they were **NOT EVEN IN THE HORIZEN DISCORD** On 3/9/2026 user **xmode** once again questions the ZENDEX timeline and transparency: “_Is there something we can consult to see what Zendex have done etc. I am personally curios on the outcome of this dex. The [zendex.fi](http://zendex.fi) doesnt give info on whats going on. I just see start trading, follow twitter. No info on what are they doing. Customize your own space to talk, play, and hang out. On 5/15/2026 a discord admin **NhuelCryp** announced “_Congrats ZENDEX team on completion of audit 🔥”_ _It is now 10/18/2026. More than 1 year after grant announcement. ZENDEX is still not on mainnet, nor on testnet. 5 months after they passed their audit, no product is in sight. I am hereby calling on all community to do open-source research on EZLABS team. Lets hold them accountable for misleading our community. We went to proof of stake so we can have great privacy oriented applications. It is super disappointed to see people taking advantage of our patience and community, as well as DAO funds._ ---

What’s the actual goal here? You’ve got a year of Discord quotes and a call for “open-source research” on the team, but no ask that anyone can act on. EZ Labs didn’t approve their own grant. If you think funds were misused, ask the Foundation how much was paid out and against what milestones. If you just want to dunk on a dev team, this thread is doing that fine.
