# RFP #1 - Retraction statement by The Horizen Foundation

Per the Discourse post by Horizen Labs earlier today, The Horizen Foundation and Horizen Labs have determined that it’s best for Horizen Labs to undertake independently the buildout of the proof verification blockchain described in [ZenIP 42400](https://horizen.discourse.group/t/zenip-42400-modernizing-horizen-technology-via-a-modular-proof-verification-layer/394). In light of that, The Horizen Foundation has retracted the RFP #1. We encourage the community to provide thoughts on the migration path for $ZEN and EON, and hope to see a technical proposal in the coming weeks
